1) ABOUT D4EE

1) 'Drawing 4 Every1 Everywhere' (D4EE) is a community drawing project. The main objective is simply to encourage every1 everywhere in the world to draw. All levels r welcome, from complete beginner to pro. The price is either free or donations only (every1 is equally welcome if u pay or not)

6 MONTH / 1 YEAR STAY: As coordinator of D4EE I take drawing activities to various parts of the world. I stay in a place for 6 months / a year and run regular and 1-off drawing activities in that place (eg in hospitals, schools, in the street, festivals, bars, homes for senior citizens etc.) in exchange for food and accommodation.

I will also take monthly 3 -5 day hops to promote drawing around the world >

2) Little History of D4EE + 'Chill Out Community Arts' (CHOCA)

As D4EE coordinator I run art activites in a comunity for 3 months – 1 year.

I have run draing activities where i lived in Lisbon and also as an individual in Beijing, China and Istanbul, Turkey.

Nov. 2013: Istanbul, Turkey

Had been running Urban Sketching.

I got the idea of D4EE in Istanbul, Turkey and started D4EE in December 2014 to make things more efficient.

In 2000 I started running art sessions ( painting, drawing and cre8ive writing) which I ran in Lisbon in schools, art institutes, festivals etc. I love getting together with other artists to swap tecniques and socialise.

In January 2012 I joined up with 3 other artists and opened an arts house in Lisbon > 'Chill Out Community Art House' (January - December 2012). The 3 of us and other artists ran activities such as drawing, painting, dance

In Januray 2013 I started travelling with the idea of taking drawing activities around the world and so set up this project 'Drawing 4 Every1 Everywhere' with the simple objective of encouraging every1 to draw, every1 equally welcome whatever level, with or without money.

So far I have coordinated drawing activities in libraries, schools, centres for unemployed, centres for senior citiznes, cafes, in the street etc in Lisbon (Portugal), Istanbul (Turkey), London (UK), Granada (Spain).

3) THE ORGANISOR > DAVID MEEHAN

D4EE is run by David Meehan- an artist (aren't we all??) and art coordinator from London, UK. I have worked for some 15 years as an art coordinator running art activities ( drawing, painting and cre8ive writing.) I see my function not as a teacher but as a coordinator simply setting up the art activity and exchanging ‘tips’ on techniques, presentation etc. I sometimes work by myself but love to join with other art coordinators on a long or short term or on a1-off basis.

I myself draw, paint, do photography and cre8ive writing. I sell my art on the internet and in flea markets. I have worked as a photo journalist in Lisbon and do some free lance photographic work. I love most types of music (pop, rock, blues, jazz, reggae, folk, country… basically stuff u can hum along with and tap ur foot to.) I play the guitar to sing-a-long basic busking level. I love travelling, cooking and corny romantic comedies ( even tho I often disagree with their ideal - don’t ask me wot I mean!!)
